What are we doing to protect you?
Farmers State Bank Internet Banking system uses state of the art
protection to ensure the security of its customers' information.
Secure Access and Verifying User Authenticity
From the time you access Internet Banking your personal information is
encrypted using 128-bit encryption to protect the information as it is
transferred over the Internet. Once you are enrolled and sign on to use
Internet Banking, you must enter a unique user name and password. For
your protection Internet Banking will lock you out after 3 bad log in
attempts. Once the system locks you out, you will be required to
call us at 605-928-7991,before you can access Internet Banking again.
If you have activated your FORGOTTEN PASSWORD feature, you can unlock
your account and change your password yourself.
Secure Data Transfer
Once you have successfully logged into Internet Banking, communication
between you and the bank is encrypted. Your bank information is stored
on a computer/server that is a 128-bit secure server, data traveling
between you and the server is encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
protocol. The server is also protected by firewall and intrusion
prevention software; both of which are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week.
Time Out Feature
Once you have logged into Internet Banking, the system monitors your
session for any activity. After a certain time period of no activity,
the system will log you out, requiring you to sign on again. This
protects you from any unauthorized use. If you would like to
change this setting to be a longer period of time, you may do so once
you log into Internet Banking and choose User Options.
